What is Virechan?
Virechana or Virechana Karma is a purification therapy to detox the body and mind and is one of the five sacred, healing therapies of the Panchakarma. The Panchakarma encompasses five treatments that can prevent and heal a number of physical, mental, and emotional disorders and illnesses.
It eliminates body toxins like vitiated ‘Pitta’. The process of cleansing is carried out in the small intestine & other Pitta zones. Here drugs that stimulate bowel movement are increased for the expulsion of doshas through rectum.
It helps to Cure Diseases Like :
- Burning of palm, sole, Eyes.
- Virechan karma aims to eliminate doshas from Kidney, Lungs, Sweat Glands which is otherwise not possible by ‘Vaman Karma.’
- Elephantiasis, Recurrent Abscess.

Improves the condition of skin disorders, rashes & allergies.
